Budget-conscious Indian sandstone patios in Haywards Heath
Established in 2012. Experienced team. New patios fully guaranteed from scratch.
Natural character without the porcelain price
Indian sandstone brings variation that manufactured paving does not try to hide. Colour and texture shift from slab to slab, giving traditional and informal gardens a relaxed finish. It can also be a more budget-conscious choice within our patio range. You can choose a mixed-size layout for a varied pattern or consistent slab dimensions for simpler lines. We consider borders, joint widths and the spread of colours before laying, so the natural differences feel balanced rather than clustered by chance.

Stable construction for natural paving
Natural stone still needs disciplined groundwork. We excavate the patio area, build a compacted sub-base and set suitable levels and falls. Each slab is laid on full bedding to give proper support, then the joints are finished with a suitable material. Drainage, edge details and links to paths or lawns are planned as part of the same build. Routine cleaning helps preserve the appearance. Optional sealing may suit some customers, but the product must be appropriate for the stone and the finish you want.

Questions and answers
- Why does sandstone vary in colour?
- It is a natural material, so colour, markings and texture differ between slabs. That variation is part of its character. We distribute the paving across the area before and during laying so similar tones are not unintentionally crowded into one section.
- Does Indian sandstone need sealing?
- Sealing is optional rather than an automatic requirement. It can alter the colour and how the surface responds to staining, so the chosen product must suit the stone and your preferred appearance. The paving should be clean and suitably dry before treatment.
- Is sandstone cheaper than porcelain?
- Indian sandstone can be a more budget-conscious option within the patio range, but the complete price still depends on size, access, groundwork, drainage and layout. Comparing quotations should include the supporting construction, not only the slab price.
